What did you do for a living before becoming a Tasker?
I was a Mental Health Guard.
How has TaskRabbit impacted your life?
Before TaskRabbit, I always wanted to own my own business, but wasn’t sure how I’d get Clients, set my schedule, or create an invoice. With TaskRabbit, I realized I could own my own business because the platform does the difficult administrative parts for you! The only thing left is to do is build your Client base, which I’ve realized comes with time.
What were your biggest learnings as you got started on the app?
I’ve learned that a task isn’t just a task. It’s about the passion you put into your business, which makes it grow.
How do you market yourself to Clients?
I market myself as someone who cares about Clients’ satisfaction. In turn, the care that I put into completing tasks builds my skills and business. It’s a win-win relationship!
What is your best tasking memory, or the most meaningful connection you’ve made through tasking?
The most meaningful moment I’ve had was when one of my Clients left me a very nice review. It made me realize Clients are very grateful for Taskers when we try our best for them.
What are some of your go-to tasking tips and tricks?
Prepare for the task a day before, if you have time. This allows you to anticipate possible obstacles you could face while out on a task. If it’s a same-day task, invest what time you have in preparation. Always strive to make your Clients happy.
What makes a good Client?
Someone who cares about the work you put in. When they realize the amount of care you put into the task, they can then assist you with getting recommendations, good reviews, and ratings.
What do you do to score great reviews (and tips)?
I communicate with the Client and bring the right tools to help me complete the job.
