Guten Tag Berlin, Germany!

Guten tag, Germany! 🇩🇪

We couldn’t be happier to be expanding into our fifth country—Germany—in late November 2019 when TaskRabbit launches in Berlin!

Grab your lederhosen and some schnitzel, and come on a high-speed Autobahn drive with us as we explore all that Germany has to offer! In keeping with our tradition of cutting the proverbial ribbon in new cities and countries with local fun facts, here are some that you may not know:

  • Germany is home to over 2,100 castles–and if you really want to feel like royalty, some are available for purchase.
  • Germany hosts the world’s largest beer festival—Oktoberfest—which takes place in Munich, Bavaria. Revelers consume beers from liter-sized boots. Prost (German for “cheers”) to that!
  • Most Autobahns (freeways) in Germany have no speed limit, which makes speedy traveling between its many culturally rich cities.

Ready to check out TaskRabbit’s first stop in Germany–Berlin?

Fuelled by a feast, begin your walking tour to the must-see destinations across Berlin, including the Brandenburger Tor, Bundestag, Siegessäule, Potsdamer Platz, Panorama Punkt, Checkpoint Charlie, and Alexander Platz.

The Fersehturm is the tallest tower in Germany, and Oberbaumbrücke is the most Instagrammed bridge in Berlin, so they can’t be missed. Need to refuel? Head to Curry36–the most famous currywurst from Berlin.

Visit Germany’s first concept mall, “Bikin Berlin”, where you can find pop-up stores and a large terrace overlooking the monkey enclosure at the zoo. If you fancy a drink, definitely check out the Monkey Bar which offers a magnificent view of the city. For dinner, indulge in typical German cuisine at the restaurant Max Moritz.

On a rainy day check out Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site with 5 museums to choose from.

Rain or shine, Taskers will soon be available for hire throughout Germany. Be on the lookout for TaskRabbit coming soon to these cities:

  • Cologne
  • Dortmund
  • Duisburg
  • Dortmund
  • Dusseldorf
  • Essen
  • Krefeld

Don’t see your city on this list? Stay tuned for TaskRabbit to arrive in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, and Stuttgart soon!
