What did you do for a living before becoming a Tasker?
I was an electrical contractor working for myself, which might sound the same as tasking, but let me assure you it was very different doing it off-platform!
What is your best tasking memory?
My best memory was installing speakers throughout a tuxedo rental company headquarters, called The Black Tux in Los Angeles. When the music first came on, the employees there were so happy to have music playing as they worked throughout the factory—it was incredible to see their smiling faces and receive their sincere thanks for making their daily lives so much brighter. Since then I’ve continued to complete tasks for the company in their Santa Monica office and have had a great working relationship with them.
What’s been the most rewarding thing about joining TaskRabbit?
TaskRabbit does all the work for me! No more administrative nightmares. TaskRabbit acquires the Clients, markets my services, and takes care of the credit card processing—giving me the time to focus on providing excellent service and forming great relationships. TaskRabbit has given me a steady stream of work opportunities and the flexibility of setting my own schedule.
What values do you try to task by?
I strive to provide excellent service to every Client. It’s the small things that really matter—I always wear shoe covers inside of someone’s home, clean and vacuum my work area when I’m done, take any recycling with me, and leave with the Client completely satisfied.
How do you make sure you’re on track for providing great customer service?
I always read Client reviews to find out which areas I should focus on and where I can improve. Although I’m monitoring it to find areas of improvement, it’s also incredibly rewarding to hear all the wonderful things my Clients have to say about me!
