What is the best thing that you’ve done with your earnings from TaskRabbit?

Much of my earnings go toward taking care of my two very spoiled rescue pups.

Which categories do you task in, and why did you decide to join these categories?

I task in the Delivery, Personal Assistant, Errands, and Organization categories because I enjoying helping people. Sometimes my assistance on a task is that last little piece of action people need for success. Whether it’s my help picking up a beloved pet’s travel clearance or helping a busy mom reclaim her living room from an avalanche of toys, I can almost see the stress disappear when a task is successfully completed.

What top tip would you give to people wanting to get started in one of your top categories?

Ask lots of questions to make sure you really understand what a Client wants. Don’t be afraid to make suggestions or offer solutions to unanticipated complications. Taskers are problem solvers, so always come with a solution rather than a problem.

What is your “special touch” to provide memorable, excellent customer service?

I always come with a judgement-free attitude. I will often cheer for the Client especially if we find something they have been looking for. My best tool is a sense of humor.

What is the primary reason why you joined TaskRabbit?

I needed to stay busy while looking for a job after being laid off. Getting laid off made me realize I’d shut down a lot of my creative pursuits, which I was able to find again through tasking. Now I work very part time.

What is your unique story?

I’d been an educator most of my adult life. Working flexible hours and using specific skills through tasking has put me in touch with many young entrepreneurs. It’s inspiring me to develop other aspects of myself.
