#TaskerTuesday – Brian F.

Yes, TaskRabbit can help you make more money. Yes, it can also you give you more flexibility in your professional life. A benefit that people often forget, however, is one at the core of our product: TaskRabbit gives you the opportunity to help others in your community.

We always love to hear from Taskers who truly enjoy the process of connecting with Clients, and Tasker Brian F. is one such example.

But that’s not the only reason we’re featuring him in today’s #TaskerTuesday post. When we chatted with Brian, he not only had interesting insights about TaskRabbit, but he also had a valuable outlook on life.

Here’s what Brian had to say:

What brought you to TaskRabbit?

brian3.jpgMy desire to have flexibility with my work, and to feel like I’m helping others in some way. I also wanted to know I could grow with my work and be rewarded based on the time, attitude, and effort I put into it. For much of my working career, I was in private country club management. However, seeking more flexibility, I began researching gig economy options. TaskRabbit seemed to be the one that provided the best opportunity.

What is your favorite thing about life?

My favorite thing about life is also probably my least favorite thing. The unknown. Life can change in an instant for better or worse. Therefore, I think you should just try to focus on all the potentially amazing things that can happen and live your life to the fullest in each moment.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced in life, and what has TaskRabbit helped you overcome?

I think the biggest challenge I have faced, which many of us face, is the questions of who do you want to be? What do you want? How are you going to make that happen?

TaskRabbit solidifies my desire for job flexibility in a role where I can provide help to others. It also forces me to put myself out there in a solo environment where it is all up to me to be successful—which I believe to be a challenging but positive thing!

What was the most rewarding thing about your transition to becoming a Tasker?

Flexibility is without a doubt the biggest benefit to becoming a Tasker. I got started in Charlotte, NC; have been tasking in Milwaukee, WI; plan on tasking in the Detroit area for a few weeks while I house-sit for my sister, and plan on tasking in another TaskRabbit metro area after that. In addition to the flexibility, it feels good to help others accomplish tasks they are unable to do for various reasons!

How has TaskRabbit improved or affected your life?

Although I am relatively new to the TaskRabbit community, I can see the potential for long-term success. As I continue to complete more tasks, I feel better about how I can grow with TaskRabbit. All the clients I have worked with, as well as other Taskers, have been nothing short of amazing. I just feel good after each TaskRabbit experience!

What types of values and attitudes do you try to live by?

I think the adage of treating others the way you want to be treated is a good rule of thumb to live by. There’s only so much we have control over in life, but you can control how you treat others, how you react to them, and what you take away from adversity.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with other Taskers?

I would definitely encourage other Taskers to stick with the platform. I believe TaskRabbit provides an excellent service and will only continue to grow. In addition, I encourage other Taskers to continue to give reliable, top-notch service to their Clients, as this will ensure the longevity of your success with TaskRabbit!

If you’re a Tasker and have a great story to share, or if you know of a fellow Tasker who would make a great feature for our #TaskerTuesday series, please comment below!
