#TaskerTuesday – Sarena P.

At TaskRabbit, we’re incredibly proud of the fact that our platform provides Taskers with the flexibility to pursue their passion projects. For many Taskers, the flexibility that TaskRabbit offers is one of the main draws of the platform— whether that means more flexibility to coordinate childcare, flexibility to pursue a career in music, or art, or even flexibility to only work on certain days of the week.

sarena profSarena P., from the San Francisco Bay Area, is one such Tasker, for whom TaskRabbit provided the flexibility to earn an income while still pursuing a lifelong passion. Sarena is an AYA (Adolescent and Young Adult) Stage III cancer survivor, so she has a special appreciation for living life to the fullest and pursuing her most meaningful goals.

“As much as I enjoy cleaning other people’s homes, my true goal in life is to become a psychologist for hospice patients,” Sarena says. “TaskRabbit is really great, because it allowed me to leave my hospital internship so I could focus on my studies while setting my own work hours. I’m very thankful for the platform!”

Once Sarena’s education is complete, she aims to provide advice, resources, and support for people who are living with terminal illnesses.

We’re incredibly proud to have inspiring Taskers just like Sarena taking charge of their professional lives and using TaskRabbit as a way to pursue their true calling in life. When we hear stories about the goals and life passions that drive Taskers forward every day, it makes us at TaskRabbit HQ truly excited to work toward making TaskRabbit the best (and most flexible!) freelance work platform available.
