As you know, our website and app were offline from April 16th through part of the day April 18th while we investigated a cybersecurity incident. That investigation is in its early stages and is ongoing, but as of the afternoon of April 18, our website and app are back online.
We have an outside forensics team working diligently to determine what information may have been compromised, and will notify every affected individual, but as an immediate precaution, Taskers and Clients should monitor their accounts for any suspicious activity. Also, anyone who uses their TaskRabbit password on other websites and apps should change them.
We will be adjusting any affected business metrics for Taskers to correct for any impact caused by the site outage on April 16th, 17th, or 18th.
We are continuing to work with cybersecurity experts to investigate this matter. We will continue to take additional steps in the coming weeks to enhance the security of our platform, and will keep you informed as this develops.
